It's time to get serious about investing
Another new year has arrived and normally it has signaled a time where you make that grand resolution where you will finally get around to getting your finances in order. Will this finally be the year you roll up your sleeves and figure out how to invest in stocks?
In the past you’ve taken the small steps into investing like setting up your broker account. You put a few dollars in and invest in something that your aunt or colleague told you was a can’t miss stock or something you read in a Facebook investing group, but it doesn’t get you very good results. You take your lumps and it doesn’t take long for you to come up with excuses with not moving further with your investing.
It’s too complicated.
I’m scared to lose more money.
I hate math!
Wouldn’t it be great to have access to a resource that helps you get over your fear of investing and explain in simple, easy to understand language how to figure out which stocks or ETF’s to buy and improve your chances of making successful investment decisions?
Wouldn’t it be amazing to make investment decisions from a position of confidence?
I can help you get there.
My name is Aman Raina and I help new and experienced investors who want to be financially secure but feel confused and intimated by the investing world. They either don’t know where to start or they feel they are not making progress with their investments. As an investment coach, I teach and engage them on how to make educated investment decisions so that they can achieve financial freedom in their lives with confidence.
I’ve taken enough investing courses in my life and even as someone who has been formally trained in investing, I can see how they can be confusing and intimidating. That’s why I set out to try and create a set of courses that will cut through a lot of jargon and focus on core fundamentals and teach people what they REALLY need to know about investing.
I can teach you how to do this.
The Everyday Investing program is a series of online modules that I have developed that will teach you how to buy and sell stocks successfully. The goal is to make you literate and comfortable with basic investment practices that you can use in your day-to-day life that will enable you to analyze and make more successful investment decisions.
In the Everyday Investing program you will learn to:
1) Understand some first principles on how companies create wealth and what drives stock prices. We use these principles to build on more specific investment competencies.
2) Read and interpret one of the most significant tools investors have at their disposal in evaluating stocks, the financial statements.
3) Use every-day macroeconomic measurements to better understand the business environment companies operate in.
4) Determine if a company and/or its stock is a risky investment.
5) Figure out if a stock is cheap or expensive.
6) Answer the 8 most important questions you need to ask every time you are evaluating a stock.
7) Identify which investment products are appropriate for you.
8) Understand and be aware of the secret sauce that separates great investors from the rest, which is being more mindful of behaviours that can negatively impact our investment decisions and how to manage them better.

How to Invest in Exchange Traded Funds
Exchange Trade Funds or ETF’s have become one of the great disruptors in investing in the last 30 years.
ETF’s have replaced mutual funds and to a certain extent owning individual stocks as a viable option for investors looking to grow their hard earned savings.
ETF’s come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and are marketed as a cheap low cost method to invest in a variety of asset classes and investment strategies.
Conversely ETF's have become more complex in nature. They are not like your grandma’s ETF’s of 30 years ago! The sheer diversity in ETF products that have exploded in recent years bring along with it complexities and tradeoffs that investors may not be aware of.
My goal in creating and teaching this course is to go beyond just introducing you to ETF’s and showing how they work but more importantly to make you more street smart in evaluating them to determine which ones are appropriate for your portfolio. The course will examine different types of ETF’s available to investors as well as what they should be aware and on alert for when evaluating them.
What they’re saying
"I first met Aman in the classroom. He was presenting for Ellen Roseman's personal finance and investing class. I remember liking his style and message straight away. So much so that I never really forgot him, even years later when I realized I needed investment support.
For several years much of my savings languished uninvested. I simply lacked the confidence to go beyond basic broad based ETF strategies. It took Aman's enthusiasm and encouragement to give me the kick I needed to do my own research with the confidence I could make successful investment decisions. And after four years of watching inflation eat away at my savings, I can happily say it's all invested!" Daniel A, Toronto ON

I really believe investing is intuitively simple if you have some basic foundations established and that foundation starts with understanding how we create wealth in our free-market capitalist society and a basic premise that well-run, well-managed companies are more valuable and carry higher stock valuations.
Let’s mark 2018 as the year you got your investing mojo!
To your future investing success.
My name is Aman Raina and I am an investment coach and founder of Sage Investors, a financial education practice.
I help new and experienced investors who want to be financially secure but feel confused , intimidated and uninformed by the investing world. They either don’t know where to begin or feel that they are not making enough progress with their investments. I teach and engage with them in how to make educated investment decisions so that they can achieve financial freedom in their lives with confidence.
Over the years, I have met numerous investors who have shared their stories about how financial institutions have failed them in providing appropriate guidance for their investment portfolios. Many have gone on to lose significant portions of their savings, leading to financial and emotional hardships, while the institutions that should be helping them are enjoying massive profits. I believe there is a serious disconnect here and this is not healthy for our society.
My call to action
The people that I saw requiring the most assistance was hard working people like yourself, who after several stock market meltdowns have decided they want to take control of their financial destiny.
Sage Investors is Born
After investing for 20 years, I really believe deep down that investing is a lot easier than what the industry makes it out to be and any person can become really good at investing if they have the right education, motivation, and support. With that I created Sage Investors with a goal of creating an army of empowered and successful Sage Investors!
I've seen it first hand in the people I've worked with. When I started working with people, they knew nothing about investing, but with hard work and commitment to learning the mechanics and emotional aspects of investing, I see them now as confident investors who are building a meaningful nest egg for their future on their own.
I see them happy that their hard earned savings are growing meaningfully for them.
They have hope.
They have hope that that they have a good chance of having some some financial flexibility to achieve their own personal and family goals.
I have gained so much admiration and greater satisfaction in helping these hard working people achieve some level of financial freedom in their lives. The best part is when I help someone on their investing journey, I am learning something new about investing that helps me. What a win-win!
I hope you can join me.
To your future investing success!
